Using Transistors as Switches

In order to include parts that can be switched on electronically I recommend using the circuit below. We can power the part from our 3V power source. The yellow part of the circuit can be replaced with a current from the processing unit (Arduino, raspberry pi……). Hence, the motor can be programmed to come on or off when we choose.
